"...why am I doing this?"

Films: The Amazing Bulk (2012)

Alias: Henry "Hank" Howard

Type: Mutant

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: Inconsistant, mostly that of a small building.

Affiliation: Good...ish

Summary: You know, for all the crap we keep giving all of these low-budget monster movies, there somehow turns out to be one near the end of a year that trumps them all in terms of utter lack of quality. Those films that make us wonder whether it was a genuine effort or a drawn-out practical joke on a budget. We honestly cannot tell when looking at such garbage as this.

History: In a world almost entirely comprised of bad CGI and greenscreen, there is a scientist named Dr. Hank Howard. He's a nice guy who's been tasked with creating a new super serum that will make fighters out of anyone. Upon testing it upon himself, Howard turns into a monstrous purple humanoid known as the Bulk. Alas, whenever he's the Bulk, lots of things get destroyed and/or killed. And that's something some villains are counting on. But for the most part, the Bulk likes to run. A lot.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After some of the most nonsensical chases we've ever seen, the Bulk destroys whatever the bad guys were planning, and in human form, he sends the last guy off a balcony, killing them both. But as a drunk pees on his grave, he rises again as the Bulk...

Powers/Abilities: Size-shifting (apparently) and amazing resilience.

Weakness: Heavy artillery.

Scariness Factor: 1-The Amazing Bulk is the worst CGI monster around, bar none. From a design standpoint, he's a pudgy fat purple human who's always naked and making us wish we were blind as he constantly goes around shaking his saggy ass around (eurgh...). Also, the whole world around him is an acting/special effect failure, so he fits right in.

Trivia: -This film was made with about $14,000. And if the creator's commentary is to be believed, they somehow ran out anyway near the end, and just decided to wing it from that moment forward.

-Originally, this film was meant to be a parody of "Spiderman", and the protagonist would be a woman. If only that were the case. Maybe then we wouldn't have to put this THING on the site.
